Community Outreach

Goshen Friends & Community Outreach

Providing opportunities for our school community to become aware of needs within our greater community and our individual ability to bring hope and joy to others.

What is “Community Cares”?
Community Cares is the GFS service learning program that sets aside monthly class time so that all students and staff can learn about the needs of specific focus areas, work on cooperative outreach projects, and reflect on the impact of such an experience.

What is “Kids Care”?
The GFS community has been invited once again to bring energy and friendship through group activities to our next door neighbors at Bellingham and Park Lane senior centers. Since Tr. Nancy Hiro introduced this program six years ago, Goshen students and their families have looked forward to these Wednesday afternoons, where friends from several generations socialize with each other and bring smiles to each others' faces.  This year, Tr. Mimi Ackers will be facilitating this wonderful intergenerational program.  She can be reached by This email address is being protected from spambots.
