Welcome to the GFS Extended Care website. Hopefully from here many of your questions will be answered, your feedback and ideas will be communicated, and you will get a sense of all that happens within our program, and you will enjoy the photos we post.
Philosophy
The GFS Extended Care program will provide a nurturing environment where individual and small-group experiences will create opportunities for each participant to grow socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and cognitively. Children will self-select activities and be provided opportunities to experiment, discover, and explore at their own pace while developing their strengths and interests and growing through challenges they encounter. The caregivers will constantly strive to make the program cooperative, fun, fresh, creative, meaningful, and engaging for all who partake.
Hours
From 7:45 am until 6:00 pm on days that school is in session.
Rates
If contracted, care is charged at $7.50 per hour. If using the drop-in service, care is charged at $8.50 per hour.

The Extended Care staff believes “pictures are worth a thousand words”… but the stories and giggles we hear from the children each day are priceless. We look forward to playing with, encouraging, challenging, nurturing, as well as learning and growing with your child.
