Welcome to the GFS Extended Care website. Hopefully from here many of your questions will be answered, your feedback and ideas will be communicated, and you will get a sense of all that happens within our program. Be sure to enjoy the photos we post!
The GFS Extended Care program will provide a nurturing environment where individual and small-group experiences create opportunities for each participant to grow socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and cognitively. Children self-select activities and are provided opportunities to experiment, discover, and explore at their own pace while developing their strengths and interests and growing through challenges they encounter. The caregivers constantly strive to make the program cooperative, fun, fresh, creative, meaningful, and engaging for all who participate.
On all regularly scheduled school days, the Extended Care program will run from 7:45 am until6:00 pm and is open to all students attending Goshen Friends School.
Early Care for Lower School Students: 7:45 am until 8:00 am
Early Care for Preschool Students: 7:45 am until 9:00 am

By completing and returning the attached Reservation Agreement, you can sign your child(ren) up for Extended Care on a regular, weekly schedule. Indicate the days and times needed, and return the form to the school office with a $25 non-refundable deposit. Fees and Billing
There is no charge for Early Care, 7:45 am until 8:00 am for Lower School students and 7:45 am until 9:00 am for Preschool students.
Reserved Extended Care time contracted through the Reservation Agreement is $8 per hour. You will be billed for the exact number of days school is in session whether your child is absent or picked up early.
Drop-in Extended Care and late pick-up for reserved care fees are $9.00 per hour.
Invoices for all care will be sent after the conclusion of each month.
Special Note about Late Pick-up
Please call the Extended Care line (610-696-2646) if you will be late for your scheduled pick-up time. Children often worry if their ride does not arrive on time, especially when they see all the other children leave through car line.
NOTE: After 6:00 pm, you will be charged $25 for every quarter hour (or fraction thereof) that you are late. The cost of this service reflects the extraordinary commitment our staff makes to provide care.
If you would like any other information, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Sit with your child as you view these photos and get their story about all that happens or to get your child excited about joining us for early care, Lunch Bunch, or afternoon care.
The Extended Care staff believes “pictures are worth a thousand words” . . . but the stories and giggles we hear from the children each day are priceless. We look forward to playing with, encouraging, challenging, nurturing, as well as learning and growing with your child.
Thank you for giving us this opportunity.
