Parents

rachelandstacy2012Greetings from the GPC (Goshen Parent Community)! We hope you are enjoying a fun-filled summer vacation. The start of the new school year is just a few weeks away and we are looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces alike around campus.

The GPC is a group of parents from the GFS community that work together to enrich the experience of our children at GFS. Rachel and I are looking forward to a wonderful and successful year as Clerks of the GPC. We have several events already planned and are looking for parents to jump on board and make them happen!

The GPC needs two Classroom Representatives from each Preschool and Lower School classroom. Your duties are to attend our monthly meetings, relay information to your classrooms via email and coordinate volunteers as needed through the school year. Please get in email us if you want to get involved.

Have you been clipping your Box Tops for Education? Hopefully you will have a nice big bag to send in for the first collection in early fall. Our school earns 10 cents for each Box Top—they add up quickly! So, keep on clippin’….

Our meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month (7-8 pm) in the Meetinghouse. Complementary childcare is offered in Extended Day. The first meeting of the new school year is set for September 11th. The GPC is looking forward to hosting guest speakers throughout the year discussing parenting topics, GFS operations and even a Q & A with staff members. We hope you’ll drop by!

If you have any questions, suggestions or would like to volunteer as your Classroom Representative, please email Stacy Spiegel or Rachel Petyk at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Stacy Spiegel and Rachel Petyk
