Goshen Friends Preschool is based on Quaker values that encourage the growth of the whole child by addressing a child’s interests, strengths, and needs through a developmentally appropriate and responsive curriculum. Purposeful, child-centered classrooms enhance cognitive, physical, social, emotional, aesthetic, and spiritual growth. Play and concrete experiences encourage discovery, experimentation, interaction, choice, and conversation. These classrooms create a foundation that fosters enthusiasm for learning, independence, cooperation, responsibility, freedom of expression, and appreciation of differences.

Graduates of Quaker elementary schools know themselves and are able to recognize the strengths of peers. Because they are effective communicators and creative problem solvers at an early age, the fifth graders approach transitions with self-assurance. They are not only prepared for a middle school setting; they are “ready” in every sense.
