The library of Goshen Friends School has been lovingly created by Gail Tobias and consists of fiction and nonfiction titles that support and enhance the Lower School and Preschool curricula and stimulate interest on a wide variety of topics. We hope to instill in our students a love of books and to create a generation of lifelong readers.
Donations to the Goshen Friends School Library Fund are a thoughtful way to honor a friend or to thank a teacher or staff member in the Friends community. When you make a donation to the library you are supporting our school and creating a unique and permanent remembrance of a special member of the Friends community. This is a wonderful way to give a tangible gift that will be meaningful, long lasting, and bring joy and learning to others. Contributions are tax deductible.
Here are some ways in which you can make a contribution to our library:
- A gift of $15 or more will enable the library to purchase a book, which will then have a bookplate inscribed with the name of the person being honored or memorialized (any leftover funds will help to build an endowment). A tribute card will be sent to the honoree or their family informing them of your gift. If you give a gift in honor of a student's birthday, it will be proudly on display in the library for that week. To make a donation, please mail your check for the amount you choose to contribute, made out to Goshen Friends School. Please include the name of the person for whom the gift is in recognition of, and be sure to include your name as the donor. You may specify a special message to be included on the card and/or the bookplate as well.
